IHG Hotels & Resorts’ Global Procurement division is pleased to announce that Cian Murphy, Head of Digital, has been recognized in the 2025 CPOstrategy AI in Procurement Champions Index, a respected industry benchmark that celebrates procurement professionals driving meaningful progress through artificial intelligence.

This year’s Index features over 180 individuals from a wide range of industries and organizations, selected through peer nominations and expert evaluations. It highlights those who are contributing to the evolution of procurement through the thoughtful application of AI technologies to enhance efficiency, resilience, and strategic decision-making.

The recognition comes at a meaningful point in IHG Global Procurement’s ongoing digital transformation journey. Throughout 2025, the function is working toward enabling digital capabilities that are intended to help improve the experience for hotel owners. With foundational engagement now in place, the team is exploring ways to deepen that impact, seeking to help owners better understand how the IHG Global Procurement Program could potentially deliver the value they require, the support they need, and the quality their guests expect.

As part of this broader effort, Cian Murphy has been recognized for his leadership of the Global Procurement Digital team in exploring how artificial intelligence might be applied to support these objectives and potentially shape the future direction of procurement at IHG.
