IHG Hotels & Resorts is proud to announce that its Global Procurement team has been honored with two Trailblazer Awards at the ISM World 2025 Awards Gala, held on the 2nd of June 2025, at the Rosen Shingle Creek resort in Orlando, Florida. Presented by the Institute for Supply Management® (ISM®), these awards celebrate organizations that are leading the way in redefining the future of supply management through innovation, strategic impact, and operational excellence.

Global Procurement Recognized for Innovation and Strategic Impact

IHG was recognized for its outstanding achievements in both innovation and solution delivery. The company earned the Procurement Solution Provider Impact award for its Co-Brand Procurement Solution in Greater China - an initiative that redefined the hotel dining experience by joining with celebrated catering brands to help meet the evolving expectations of guests. This approach not only helped to enhance guest satisfaction and brand loyalty but also may help contribute to streamlined operations and potentially reduced costs.

The Innovation award was presented for IHG’s development of a tailored procurement program for franchised hotels in Ireland and Great Britain - many of which operate independently and may often not have dedicated procurement functions. By working closely with suppliers to create mutually beneficial offerings, IHG delivered a scalable, minimal cost solution that helped meet the unique needs of franchisees while supporting the company’s market presence.

Sopan Shah, Senior Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer at IHG, expressed pride in the team’s accomplishments. “We are honored to be recognized by ISM for our commitment to innovation and excellence in procurement,” Shah said. “These awards reflect the dedication of our global procurement team and our focus on delivering value across the IHG portfolio.”
